Mountain Buggy Urban Jungle 3.0: ball bearings

Question:

"We've got the new MB Urban jungle 3.0 and it has quite a lot of play in rear wheels. The bearings seem okay, but the axel just "wiggles inside of them". Can you somehow describe how much play (or noise on just slightly worse terrain) is normal? Because the stroller is not cheap, but certainly sounds like it is sometimes. Regards"

Answer:

Newer mountain buggy strollers (after the redesign of the rim) quickly develop problems with their ball bearings. A greater degree of 'wiggle room' is thus to be expected. Loose ball bearings are not dangerous and can hold a long time if you oil them, so I would suggest that as long as the wheels are still functional and acceptably tight for you, there is no need to change them.
